Natty purchase

My specific goal during my long transit in Johannesburg was to visit a bookshop and buy a 2026 planner, hoping the stockists had got in early. There couldn’t have been a more perfect one than this.

I arrived in Dar es Salaam in the early hours. ‘Good condition’ said Mr Key, referring to the weather, which was relatively fresh. I’ve no idea how to spell the name of my regular taxi guy but that’s how I write it and he hasn’t corrected me yet.

Then Mr Key also said ‘too much Chinese’ when we passed a shopping mall that has a lot of Chinese residents and businesses. So not every comment of Mr Key’s hits the spot. Sadly, the Chinese really do get it in the neck from all quarters don’t they.

For some reason I was alert and awake even though I was laying in bed and it had passed 6am. Maybe I shouldn’t drink coffee on planes at 2am. Anyhoo, whilst I lay there at dawn I defaulted to my current favourite activity, which is researching how to walk the South West Coast Path in the UK. One of 2026’s adventures is approaching.
