The weather forecast was for a hot and sunny day. I had no intention of competing for space with all the tourists who would appear mid morning onwards. So, an early walk around the block then home to keep cool. 

A cupboard sorted through . . . board games, puzzle books, a three year collection of cards (Christmas etc) and more tea lights than I’ll use. Less has gone back in than came out. I’ve also found one of the two missing lunch boxes . . . it has coloured pencils in. 

Lunch outside and some slow gardening then inside with a book until it was time to cook.
