Sculptures Again.

Another lie in today, then time spent catching up with Blips until Brian chivvied me into getting ready to go out to look for today's Blips. We wanted to be home in time for RL and football on TV this afternoon.

Our year passes for Doddington Hall run out at the end of this month so we decided to go there and see the rest of the sculptures currently on show there.

This one is in the garden once you're through the entrance. I'm not sure what it's called nor who it was created by but I'm going to try to find out if I can.

Turns out it's called Asteria, and it's by an artist named Angela Farquharson. It's made using black ceramic, iron resin and steel, on a steel plinth. It would cost you £2,500!

There was one I did want to buy, a small indoor unicorn for £250. I asked Brian to get it but he didn't think it was a good idea. Good job there's no way I can get back to Doddington under my own steam... Or back again with a teacup chihuahua sized cast bronze unicorn, hahaha!

All day I've felt really hungry! I've eaten a bit more than usual, just healthy stuff like fruit, etc. But I feel like I've had nothing! I'm having a hearty veggie soup for tea with a seeded wholegrain roll. I hope they do the trick!

We watched St Helens beat Huddersfield this afternoon. Saints are looking scary good, quietly coming up on the rails. They're hitting good form at the right time of the season and I could see it being them and Hull KR in the Grand Final...

Wigan are putting in the effort now, but frustratingly, nothing seems to work out. It all looks like very hard work and a bit clunky. Saints and KR's game just seems to flow naturally. Manchester United started the new season with a home loss to Arsenal. United seem to be in the same boat as Wigan.
