Down Memory Lane!

A quick trip down to S'bury's for things I forgot on my Thursday list. Having chatted with Linda yesterday about places to visit for the remainder of the summer walks, I decided to pop over to Eggesford to the river Taw. Must admit I was rather sad to see the condition of the river and the banks. 

With our lack of rain in our area, river levels are very low. And from what I saw, if you did want to cast a fly across the water you would have to battle your way to the bank. And the there were patches of Japanese Balsam which is evil stuff and sucks the goodness out of the ground and water.
