See the light …

Nothing like going to church on a Sunday for a truly religious experience. In this case the church we went to in Godalming had in fact been turned into a Cotswold furniture store. They had done a truly remarkable job but I wouldn’t like to be the person who had to get up a ladder and dust the ceilings.

We had a swift drink in a little bottle shop called the Antelope which was really lovely and practically deserted. Then we took a walk down by the river Wey where hundreds of people with picnics, seats, gazebos and all the other paraphernalia of a day at the beach were sitting watching a country group playing in the bandstand. Was amazingly convivial and added up to a really lovely atmosphere.

In the evening I played sous chef to TSM who prepared a delicious Asian meal with oodles of noodles and lots of flavour.
