Avo tree

I remember sticking avo seeds in water as a child but nowadays they don’t germinate. Imagine my surprise when this one did! I decided if it had chance of surviving me that it was time to put it in a pot. The jar was on the ground for 2 minutes whilst I went to find potting soil but that was more than enough time for a pup to explore the tender top with her mouth. I potted it but didn’t hold out much hope. I had all but given up when I noticed that there were tiny buds of leaves so I persisted. I think it is doing rather well.
