Colourful heathland
It's been a very hot day today. I was up early and out watering the allotment. Later in the morning my husband and I decided to go for a short walk around Mutters Moor. It's located near Peak Hill just before Sidmouth and is fairly high up so we thought there could be some cool breeze around and also has an area of woodland.
Neither of us had walked around here for some time and we thought the vegetation appeared fairly overgrown. There is a lovely area where heather, gorse and grasses are growing and it looked very colourful so became today's blip. We wandered around the top starting on the side with views down towards Newton Poppleford. We had both visited a bench known as Kebles Seat before and I had memories of a semicircle of trees and views down towards Newton Poppleford. We had abandoned all hope of finding it when by accident my husband came across it. Unfortunately there were no views as the scrub trees and bushes had grown so high but the seat was still there for out lunch break. After wandering to the end we returned back on the other side of the hill. An enjoyable walk with the light wind easing the heat.
