Feed Me!!

Gotta love the sheer determination of fledgling baby house finches- following their parents everywhere, begging at full volume.  They will literally sit right on the feeder, demanding to be fed.  At this point, the parent in attendance was not interested in feeding this one, but that didn't stop the endless fluttering and begging.  Extremely cute, although probably less so to the adult birds.

The besties and I had a wonderful time together, laughing, reminiscing, playing dominoes and just enjoying each other's company.  We all toddled off to bed by 10.  Ellen had to head out on a business trip so she left our house around 6:30 to go to Newark.  Peg and Kura and I enjoyed a leisurely breakfast of scrambled eggs, fruit and toast followed by several rounds of dominoes.  They headed out around 12:30 and I pottered around here, had lunch with hubs and then took a nap.  It's very humid today but I still enjoyed an hour or so outside with Jax this afternoon, he keeping watch while I took pictures of things.  

Looking forward to a FT call with my parents tomorrow morning.  And counting the days until they are here in NJ!
