EFI and the Fringe

Its still August and Edinburgh is enveloped by the Fringe.
We had a show in the evening, so decided to head into town early for a bit of culture and "Hatch food".
We hit up Pleasance at George Square as I was told that all the favourites were present. However, as much as they were present there wasn't a blade of (fake) grass to sit on. Not a hope of a bench seat there.
We slalom'd our way out of this venue and headed to the Book Festival, which is hosted this year in the Grounds of the Edinburgh Futures Institute , which is in the grounds of the old RIE.
We managed to find gainful feedings from the hatches here. We did however get stung with the drinks. £2.50 per can, which stung even worse, when the can was price marked at 80p.
Onwards from there we made our way to Pleasance Courtyard, but managed to miss going into the courtyard itself. Instead, our show was in Grand. And, it was full tonight - to the ceiling.
We managed to get pretty good seating, if I did feel a bit hemmed in on all sides.
Wankernomics was the show of the evening. Our new favourite as we also saw them both last year doing a similar cringeworthy office banter show. I'd recommend you see it, but they have a shorter run this year and I believe they are all sold out.

This blip was from our time in EFI as we were leaving. The sun and blue sky made the old hospital look awesome.
