I'm Satisfied . . . Mississippi John Hurt
This morning I put the camera on black and white and walked around my garden and the street looking for minimalism for Mono Monday. I enjoyed myself but I couldn't reduce the views down to minimal. There were other elements that appealed to me and I wanted to include them. I was invited in for coffee at no 4. They have been house sitting in Nelson so there was gossip to catch up on. I went for a walk up the hill and it was very quiet and still. I got back before a little shower came.
This is the first shot I took in my garden. It is the lid from a tagine. The bottom cracked when I had the element too hot. I really miss it. It was bright red. To buy a replacement is very expensive so I just haven't got around to it. Anyway when a neighbour was taking out their chinmey flue I took it and now I have two copper colured funnels in a shady patch of garden and one had this upside down tagine lid acting as a bird bath. The light was bouncing off the white wall of the house next door and I just liked the effect of foliage reflected in the water. Thanks Laurie.
