A colourful invader

In Scotland Montbretia  (Crocosmia x crocosmiflora) is classed as a non-native invasive plant and it is certainly a battle to keep it confined to an edge of our pond.

But it does look great in late summer sunshine on a day like today. 

(Only after posting this did I realise that it  is my second invasive species blip in two days - I must be trying to relive worries from my past !)
