Mono Monday: Minimalism

If only Himalayan Balsam were minimal there would be less soil erosion on the riverbank and native species would have a chance to grow. But it is so vigorous that it crowds out other plants and is really difficult to eradicate. This plant is now at the point of releasing its many seeds. Thanks to Laurie54 for the challenge. 

I believe that today is the last of the very hot weather. The temperature is going to drop to a more normal level for this time of year over the next week or so. Everything looks parched now and we do really need some rain. 

I'm not on a schedule today which is both unusual and welcome. I'll be at my Monday yoga class later but till then I can please myself. A nice start to the week.
