New Bridge

Two years or so ago the footbridge over the M3 connecting Bagshot to Lightwater Country Park was deemed unsafe and closed.  A new bridge was promised for last year, but as is the way with these things the new one wasn't installed until a few weeks ago during a weekend closesure of the motorway. Even that had been delayed by a over month as "the concrete supports hadn't set"!

Still, it's installed now and open, so today I had a look.  It's a pretty impressive structure, and in this day of "Elf and safety" is totally enclosed. So the villagers of Bagshot finally have direct access to the park rather than a long detour via road or underpass once again.
