Nujabes - Child’s Attraction

I didn’t want to, but somewhere in the back of my mind, this day would come. I bought this set 14 years ago… I took them everywhere with me to try and get the perfect shot. I attached them to my SLRs to try and experiment with effects. This was everything to me.

Looking at my old photos, I remember so vividly when I took them and whom I was with. I miss those people so much. I wish I was more mature and appreciative of you all. Those times were wonderful by the river, on the beach, in Nagoya, in Tokyo, in Melbourne, in Kuala Lumpur. I was in an invincible state of happiness and could achieve anything I wanted.

Hope is such a powerful emotion, and the belief in a better tomorrow.

It’s just a cheap toy camera, but the possibilities were endless in capturing my memories forever and never to forget.

I haven’t used it in 10 years but it still has such power on me. For better or worse, I’m older, have more responsibilities and don’t have time to take photos. I can hold on to these but it will trap me.

I will always know the snap and reverberation of the shutter as it locks in the now and protects it from the past. Goodbye.
