The cheesewring
I was out with some other members of the scapes group today. We started relatively early on this fairly cool morning as there was a brisk wind throughout he day. It was fairly sunny as we arrived at our starting location at Colliford Lake. We were here to view and photo the petrified remains of trees which are protruding from the reservoir, especially so since the water levels are very low. We also took a quick walk around the nearby Kerdroya a recent work of art made of a labyrinth of Cornish stone.
Next stop was Trethevy Quoit and then the Minions. There is so much to photograph at the Minions and this time I went with a few others unto the Cheesewring rock situation at the top of Cheesewring Quarry. It was an enjoyable walk and lots to photograph. The views from the top are stunning although it was very windy.
After that and meeting up with the rest of the group we made our way back home. A very enjoyable day out.
