Flowers of the field edge

It's been very grey today with no sign of the sun and I haven't taken any photos. These are pictures taken over the last couple of weeks of flowers at the edges of the local fields. I love the way farmers leave strips for wildflowers these days. Aside from looking great, these strips offer numerous benefits to the farmer, including enhanced biodiversity, improved pollination, natural pest control, and soil and water conservation.
