Diary of an Edinburgher

Farmer Archie

Meant to start thinking about packing today, but didn't get far. Looking at the weather for Verona next week, it's not going to be as hot as we'd thought - which is good - but it might require a wardrobe re-think. Also, on the two opera nights we have, rain during the day is expected, but hopefully it clears up by the evening, but maybe not...

JR took Archie out when she came home from the gym, and I took him out in the afternoon. And just look what we found! It was just Archie's size, but we left it there for, perhaps, a child to take.

We also popped in to visit Mary, and I was surprised to see Alice, her daughter from Australia was still here... I suspected right away that 'plans had changed...' Yes, Mary is moving to a care home. She's just too unsteady on her own now. Her choice, she declared. So Alice postponed her return to Australia in order to get this sorted.

I have been fiddling around with ChatGPT. Hazel has been raving about it for a while. I've asked it to plan a week of activities in Verona, but even more fun is the 'Turn your photo into a cartoon' option. What a hoot!

I am now watching the live news of the goings-on in Washington. Fingers crossed again!

Right. Packing tomorrow. Definitely.
