Man in blue

Today I spent some time in Guildhall Yard trying to photograph the hotch potch of architecture that co-exists there. That went okay but what turned out to be more interesting was the man sitting outside the Guildhall itself. He didn’t move for a good forty minutes so I thought he had better be part of the shot.

The Guildhall dates from the 15th century and, historically, it’s where people went to pay their taxes (or geld). Today it no longer functions as a town hall but it’s still the civic and ceremonial centre for the City of London Corporation.

Anyway, thank you to the man in blue—he makes it a better photo.
