Carrot cake disaarrrrster

We obviously got so excited with the new machine yesterday that we managed to produce a heavy, uninspiring fairly horrible cake for which we blamed Mary Berry entirely. However, we revisited the recipe today and must apologise to Mary unreservedly - we didn't put the sunflower oil in the cake! Still think the frosting bit is disgustingly cheesy but the cake would presumably have been better with all the ingredients in!
