Off on a shout (Day 3756)

Back to the bathroom refit in Stromness this morning and the plan was to get the shower area covered with wet wall panelling. It was good to have a nice big space outside to get set up for cutting the sheets, but the complete lack of any wind meant I was plagued by midges. I put up with them for as long as I could, but ended up going off to buy a midge repellent.
As I returned from my very brief shopping trip I noticed the crew arriving at the lifeboat and watched as they got organised and headed off on a shout. I haven't found out what they were doing, but they were back at the berth before long.
I got the wet wall done by mid afternoon and had a quick tidy up before a trip to town to collect stuff for tomorrow.
Very glad to be back home to my beautiful wife
