Dahlia
There's not many Dahlia's around any of the places I tend to go that are within reach. They tend to be deep in somebody's garden where I would need to trespass, or unnecessarily disturb the owner to ask permission to go in.
This one is right at the front of somebody's garden, but down a street I don't normally traverse. So until now I haven't known it was there.
I had to take several shots because the wind wouldn't leave it still for a second, and this is the most focussed one.
It's not tack sharp, but it's close enough I think.
Credit to the grower for putting it somewhere where the world passing by gets to appreciate it in its full glory.
It was much more tolerable today up here. Not too hot at all, and as mentioned, there was a stiff breeze. It was nice to finally cool down.
