Kite Festival - or was it?

Amongst the hustle and bustle of Southsea common with the Kite Festival, Skatepark competition and Bank Holiday tourists I was met with this sombre statue by the D-Day museum. A simple reminder to all of us of the soldiers who fought and died in the war. A poignant moment that needed to be captured.
