Fresh water, salt water

Today we've enjoyed a 'two-centre' holiday day. 

We started with a walk along the trails in Laide Wood. There we observed/listened to dragonflies, frogs, bees, birds, and fungi. A sea eagle was the highlight of our morning. It was perched on top of one of the pine trees to the left of my top shot.

This afternoon we joined about 60(!) other people at Mellon Udrigle for a hot afternoon on the long beach. We found a lovely, isolated cove as the base for our picnic, reading, and sunbathing. When the incoming tide started to encroach on our space, we had to abandon this spot for another one a little further along the shoreline (bottom shot). Several dips in the sea over the course of the afternoon kept us cool. 

We are having a wonderful time :-)

Exercise today: walking (~10k), swimming in the sea.
