We went to visit our friend Al this afternoon but stopped on the way at Tintinhull Gardens, a National Trust property just off the A303. For the most part, the gardens looked very parched. The house itself is a holiday let.
It's been almost 4 months since Al suffered a serious stroke and he hasn't made the recovery we were all hoping for, despite being in a specialist rehabilitation unit. He isn't able to go back home as it isn't suitable for all the mobility equipment he needs, so he will soon be transferred to a nursing home.
