Bresch Tower
"It is believed that the first city fortifications were built in 1295 when the town was granted city rights. The fortifications were renovated in 1445. Approximately 60% of the wall has survived up to the height of the battlements. Of the original seven square wall towers, the Witches' Tower and the Bresch Tower are preserved. The two gates at the northern and southern exits of the town have disappeared. The Bresch Tower (formerly the Spitzer Tower) has a breach that is said to have been caused by a cannonball fired by the Catholic besiegers during the Thirty Years' War. Adjacent to the tower is the Burgmannenhaus (castle). In the Middle Ages, the "castle" was the ancestral seat of the Lords of Babenhausen, the town's oldest noble family. Today, the city archives are housed here." (*Source)
I gave H0tamer a lift to his appointment at the ophthalmologist in Babenhausen and had a walk with Caspar, while we were waiting.
It's an interesting village :-)
The day was gone in a blink. When Teba returned home, I tried to continue a project on the speech computer. My idea was to create sites which would allow her to use different languages (only basic expressions in German, Dutch, English, Persian and Ukrainian). But the program (metatalk) is rather stupid and I cant get to the point that it will work properly, sigh. I'm not sure if I will continue :-/
In addition I developed a nasty headache and I really long for an early night. Sleep well blipland ...zzz ....zzz ...zzz :-)
