Parched, not Autumn
Today the fallen tree leaves on the path were in drifts - some shed while they're still green. Even in the allotment, the blackberries are amazing but the edges of some of their leaves are scorched brown.
None of them are used to this prolonged dry weather. We haven't even had much of the sea fog, or haar, that Edinburgh usually gets on the summer when the warm air over the land meets the cold sea. And its definitely been a lot warmer than usual too. Not especially hot compared to other places, but just a bit hotter than is normal here.
Picked two big tubs of shiny blackberries this evening.
