First of all, thank you all for your kind comments on yesterday’s blip and to those who donated :-) I really appreciate your kindness.

I had a whole day to explore Dundee. My first objective was to visit the V&A and it did not disappoint. I took a free tour with an architecture student called Joe.He explained how Kengo Kuma had won the competition to design the building. I loved the idea of the tunnel as a tori gate, leading from the secular part of Dundee to the river, its spiritual heart. The quote on the terrace in my blip was part of an art installation by Christopher Kane when the museum reopened after the Covid pandemic- a message of hope to the people of the city.

I visited an exhibition about Palestinian embroidery, https://www.vam.ac.uk/dundee/whatson/exhibitions/thread-memory-embroidery-from-palestine which was inspiring but also made me feel angry. Dundee is twinned with Nablus, and the Palestinian flag is flying over the Caird Hall.

In the afternoon, I visited the McManus Gallery and museum, and then I walked up to the highest point of the city (571ft) - Dundee Law- to get a birdseye view.

I will include a few temporary extras so you can see what I did.
