Zara

A new born longhorn calf at Shugborough Hall. We visited with family as a late birthday get together before a meal at a local pub.

We were a little concerned at the health of the calf, that seemed to have a shortness of breath, almost panting. I’m sure it was ok, it seemed as though it was only a few days old. Her mother was nearby, keeping an eye on goings on.

We noticed some other calves in the estate, all seemingly with names starting with Z. Perhaps a way of making it easier to know their ages if all born this year are named this way.
