Three Vessels
Whenever I look for something 'simple' or 'minimalist' around our house aI realize that it isn't quite as uncluttered as I like to think it is. On the other hand, there's a fine line between minimalist and monastic. I don't mind if our house liiks like somebody lives here!
John consented to let me drive to Kathy's today as his shoulder was bothering him enough that he was trying to drive one handed. Kathy confirmed what I thought about John;s shoulder ...that he probably has a torn rotator cuff muscle and recommended that he get himself evaluated by an orthopedist. Now that he has found a doctor he likes, he couldn't get an appointment with her for a week, so he's going to see someone else in her office. I think what he really needs is a referral to an orthopedist, but we shall see...Kathy did her best to make him more comfortable but the whole experience, from my driving to Kathy's attentions as well as a restless night meant he was wrecked by the time we got home and he slept most of the afternoon.
I'm glad to have a rather complicated quilt project to keep me busy because we'll not doing much else for a bit. The temperatures have been warm and pleasant, but are predicted to get up to 100F by the end of the week.
Pedro is supposed to come by and talk to us about alternatives for a rope and pole railing for out 32 steps and I think he just arrived...
