Desert Jelly
This evening I made jelly from the blackberries we picked yesterday. Although there was an abundance of blackberries they were not very juicy, presumably due to the lack of rain, and didn't produce a large volume of jelly. However, it is has an intense flavour.
We're calling it desert jelly as a reference to the drought conditions which the brambles have endured this summer.
It wasn't so hot today so earlier I had spent time in the garden. I took some Penstemon cuttings and sowed some seeds under glass ( a few were an experiment as my friend YY had given me some mystery seeds! I think they are from herbaceous perennials .)
