The Grand Design Of It All

Not knowing low tide when out on the vast expanse of the sandbar, was troublesome and caused an about face. Too many tales of the not so cautious came to the fore. It was easy to dismiss the sea's force far away, especially as water appeared to trickle in that direction. With sunshine and a warm breeze to the cheeks, all seems benign. But things can change rapidly on the turn.

I hoped for big simple shapes amongst the tidal lagoons. I couldn't find the lines I searched for. Instead, patterns in the sand drew my eye with thoughts of randomness and organisation in mind. The world continues to turn, the tide rising and falling as it goes.
