Ethereal

The Hummer is out of focus for sure but there is something quite engaging to me about this photograph.  I'm not sure what it is but there is an ethereal quality to it.  Flit comes every morning, very early, so the light isn't perfect, but it caught enough of her green feathers and both wings to illuminate her departure from the phlox. Next to the Trumpet Vine, Phlox is her favorite.  It is blooming albeit on brown stems with shriveled brown leaves. I am very tempted to cut everything down but as long as something is blooming and Flit is here, it will stay.  Much cooler, refreshing temperatures but no rain.
