Grimmia on Granite

In other words - moss on a big rock! : ).  Lol!  
In between showers this afternoon I headed out to the park for a quick look at this lovely moss which I’ve blipped before.  
It’s looking very much like a soft green caterpillar at the moment and has spread to a lot of the rocks in this section of the park, this rock is a big lump of granite!  
It’s actually called grimmia pulvinata and also interestingly known as pulvinate dry rock moss!!   
Well, let me tell you this is definitely a wet rock, we’ve had quite a lot of rain today!!! : )
