Tuesday
I called for Violet and we walked down to the Mind Tree Cafe in Rowde for tea, toast and jam.
They've started selling dog ice-cream so Hetty was pleased. A mistake really because she'll expect one every time now. It's like a drug!
There was a lot of talk about death this morning. And she also told me that she has had dementia.
As we approached the top of the locks, Violet said, "Ooo let's stop for coffee and cake"
Clearly forgotten that we'd just had tea and toast.
I turned down cake and avoided Hetty getting another ice cream. But she was very hopeful!
There were loads of holiday makers so the cafe was very busy and I felt very proud of where I live.
Violet thanked me for a "lovely, girly morning."
I promised I'll be in touch soon and we'll go out again.
