a lifetime burning

It is apparently World Photography Day today - which is pretty skibidi, so yay and a big up for photographers wherever you may be.

Did I get that right? I ask because "skibidi" is not a word that I've ever used (until now), I've certainly never seen it actually used in print or heard it used in real life.  So this has been my first attempt, an expansion of my lexicon. Somehow I very much doubt that I'll be using the word often, even ironically.  If you read the news you will know that the term skibidi, was recently added to the Cambridge Dictionary - and is used most by Gen Alpha, so certainly useful for them.  It is not easy for us old folks, I've only really just got my head around the difference between Millenials (my kids generation) and Gen Z (the cohort that followed them).

But back to World Photography Day - if you look into it you will find that every day, or nearly every day, is a special international or whatever day for something. But here on blip, every day is a photography day - so perhaps we are outliers in the photographic community, and there is no need to even mention it - with that in mind please do feel free to ignore my grumpy ramblings earlier.

... and now for something completely different - here's a spotted firebug from the garden this morning.
