sleeping spoonbills

Managed to get out this  morning for some birdwatching and blackberrying!  Another successful blackberry hunt and could have easily filled many more tubs!

Not so succesful on the birdwatching front as it's still their quiet time, but nice to see 15 spoonbills, even if they were snoozing!  So good to see their numbers increasing as they had disappeared as a breeding bird for 300 years (!) but a colony was established in Norfolk in 2010 and now there seems to be no stopping them!

Sunshine has returned this afternoon after a bit of cloud this  morning - looks like I'll be back  to watering plants later!
