Not the best night’s sleep but I needed to be out early for a supermarket shop.

I found out yesterday that there’s urgent electrical work in Windermere with temporary traffic lights on the main road to Kendal. The queues were several miles long at times. 

Sainsbury’s first then into town for M&S opening where I spotted this tree. Apparently it’s a small-leaved lime. I’d hoped to get out later for a better photo but didn’t have the energy. 

I think I was home by 9.30, missing any traffic problems that may have occurred later.

Treated myself to cream cakes.
