Train the Trainer....
....to Melrose to meet other 'Cycling Without Age' volunteer types from Selkirk, Eyemouth and Galashiels. An excellent session on how to train new 'pilots', the name used for the person in control and supplying the pedalling power. It's interesting hearing about other experiences of running a volunteer service. Also, also, interesting to learn that CWAScotland is the only government funded programme of its type in the world. Now, before you become outraged about money being given to me instead of fixing pot-holes, we volunteers don't receive a single penny personally, and it certainly doesn't stretch to buying supplies for the tea-break biscuit barrel. However, the thing we all share is a deep enjoyment of helping mainly older people get out into the fresh air. Hopefully someone will do the same for me one day.
Home again, clutching my prestigious 'Trainer' lanyard, my attention turned to completing the installation of the curtain rails. This was done with a minute to spare just as Nancy was serving-up delicious fajitas for tea.
The key is still missing.
