Green bottle fly

I’ve continued to be ensconced in the craft room for most of the day, although the amount of stock I’ve made for the Atrium is limited, because I’ve mostly been making cards for friends and family with August birthdays! Never mind, I’m back in the zone and thoroughly enjoying it.

Not having taken any photos today, I went out into the garden before supper without much confidence that I’d find something different to blip. It does call for quite a bit of ingenuity to come up with different ideas when one is mostly confined to barracks!

Imagine my delight, then, when I caught a glimpse of a tiny insect shimmering attractively on a caryopteris leaf. I had my macro lens to hand, fortunately, so I leaned in as close as I could and this was the result.
