He's Gone again!

It was family day here, in that my sister is already here and today my brother Ted joined us. He has his own cottage not too far from us - on the other side of the big island across from us. He stays there from spring right through summer and returns to the city in late October.  

My sister and I co-own this island and alternate residence every two weeks. We each see Ted when we are here on our own, but seldom are we all here at the same time! So, we do not get together often. When will we three meet again?  In September ...when we will get together up here for a family interment in a nearby town.

So it was a special day. Ted helped with some heavy lifting for us, we had a long chat on the deck and then he stayed for dinner (extra) before heading back to his own place. (main)  

It was also a strange day. The weather surprised us by taking a severe turn to cold! We even had to put the heat on in the cottage last night and also this morning. It was only 10 degrees C! We were not prepared for that at all .We  had brought only summer, light-weight clothes; after all, when we left home, the temperature was over 30 degrees and heading upwards!  It did warm up somewhat as the day wore on, hinting that tomorrow would not be as bad, but there was still not a lot of swimming going on and no eating outdoors or in the porch! 

Tomorrow is my last day here for this month's I do hope the weather improves!
