Green Man / Day 4: talk and music

The Minx has been eyeing the rotisserie all the time we've been here, and that's what we had for lunch. In effect, a Sunday roast! And it was superb.

In the afternoon, we saw Kelly Lee Owens, of whom I am a fan, in conversation with someone the Minx recognised from 6 Music. Huw someone, I think. Anyway, that was entertaining and interesting.

After that - and interspersed like everything else over the last few days by book reading and beer and cider drinking - we saw Warmdusche, not quite my cup of tea, and then Yard Act, who were every bit as good as they were at Bearded Theory. Not a band I'd listen to at home but one I really enjoy seeing live.

And we pretty much ended the musical part of our weekend with Beth Gibbons, once of Portishead. And given that Adrian Utley was here, too, I had hoped he might join her on stage. Sadly, he didn't, but 'Glory Box' was stunning all the same.

After that, all that remained was to go up to the top field for the burning of the green man, which gave a nice Buddhist end to the festival :-)
