Tiny Tuesday

The challenge set for today is Rocks and Stones, which in my collection tend to be rather bigger than 'Tiny' so I sought out these little ones, all around 1-1.2cm.

They are three types of semi-precious stone, which were given to me by our host when we stayed in a B&B in Tobermory, Canada in 2005. He was a member of a lapidary club and was interested to learn of my own interest.

I do wish I could find the note of what they are: the dark one is a polished Smokey Quartz but the unpolished ones am not certain. I do recall being particularly pleased at his generosity so they have some value. Similarly, I cannot find the diary for that holiday, which was preceded by the wedding of our American friends' son in Michigan, only the photographs. All very unsatisfactory but an edit will follow if this comes to light.
