Summit view
Headed west on my own for a wee bag.
Having contacted hill phones via email I was met by stalker saying good morning and chatting about my route and he suggested a change to make it easier.
A stroll up the glen, the corrie looked unpleasant so took the ridge to the summit of a hump, with the low cloud took a bearing to a tump. First site of deer on the hill.
The cloud lifted and my desired hill cleared to show the line of ascent. Steep and craggy I picked my way up for views all around. The big hills were cloud covered.
Meall garbh a graham was majestic.
After the stalker advice I headed to a steep slope and zig zagged through the crags to meet the estate road, much better than contouring and ascending into a corrie.
A slow walk out and a naked dip in the river to revive.
Headed to heather bee site. A steep walk up carrying bee equipment.
It was 19.30 cool and breezy so bees not impressed, so strong hive quickly given another honey box. Plenty of heather still in blossom.
Drive home via essential hot food at Pitlochry.
Extras heather hives, a cracking hill from glen strae.
Tump 30m promince hill, hump 100m promince hill
