Real Chopp
We've/you've been here many times before but it's our favorite local bar in Copacabana that serves the best chopp (ice-cold unpasteurised beer in tulip-shaped glasses) and deserves this full tri-level panorama to capture it fully (start top left and end bottom right).
The food is great, as well, ranging from prawn pastries to fillet steak done on hot stone. Oh, and the welcome and service are exceptional, including from the owner, who features in the central image!
Not on chopp versus beer, here:
Chopp is claimed to be lighter, creamier and more flavoursome because it hasn’t been subjected to the high temperatures needed to pasteurise something. It also has a limited shelf life because of this…it is a few days, or not much more than, so the whole rotational supply chain is different, more complicated and more expensive because of that. The brand Brahma are very proud of their chopp being real chopp and alert consumers to chopps which claim to be chopp but are not. Not ever very place serves chopp but offer bottles of beer instead.
