You may just be able to spot a small grey dot in the photo. That's Rufus refusing to cross quite a shallow stretch of water which had formed at low tide between the beach and a sandbank. We thought it would be fun to paddle over and have the rare treat of walking barefoot on sand instead of on pebbles. A water averse schnauzer had other ideas. He walked in parallel with us for a while until we relented and paddled back over to console him!
