Musk mallow

Growing from a mixture of seeds planted some months ago.  It is heartening to see Japanese Anemones continue to flower and attract ping many insects, the area is alive with the hum of busy bees.  When weeding two robins kept me company, John also spotted two youngsters when splitting logs, we assume it was the same two. 

A full on day outside and in, including a visit from the hairdresser, a first for me - to have someone come to us.  John had ordered a service kit for the ride on mower, today Nick and he put it to use, later the machine ran smoothly although the grass is very dry looking.  

A hot, sunny start to the day changing to heavy clouds and a cooler evening.  I can only imagine people are in need of rain for water supplies let alone the land, animals and gardens.
