Camouflaged

A pair of Tawny Frogmouths has taken up residence nearby. They have an owlish appearance, although experts say they are not closely related to owls. Nocturnal, they often perch during the day on an exposed branch low down in a large tree.Their camouflage is so good that they blend with the tree truck and are not easily seen - provided they keep their eyes closed! This one awakened as I approached, decided I was mainly harmless, but couldn't keep its eyes open for long and dozed off again - see extra.
