Curtain Call
I feel these islands have eluded me for a long time. They seem so small, not having much elevation, and are lost in the vast expanse of sea and sky.
Finding a way in to photograph them and make a statement had not been forthcoming. Clouds hanging aloft prompted a thought, something to balance the composition, providing a secondary element to work with.
Out of shot, the last ferry made its way to collect the last of the day's visitors. The clouds seem to draw an end to the day, like a curtain closing on a performance.
Extra: In Another Life. A different kind of reprisal.
