At the Ptarmigan Top Station, Cairngorms.

We’d a bit of family upset this morning at the house. So, we all set off at different times and met up later around lunchtime in Rothiemurchus forest.

After lunch we went up on Scotland’s only Funicular Railway. Younger son and partner had been previously. Great views from Top Station across the Grampian Mountains, the Moray Firth, ancient Caledonian pine forests of Rothiemurchus Estate, and Loch Morlich - where the rest of our family were all in the water!

We later paid an impromptu visit to old friends who live in the area (extra photo in their garden when coffee being made!). A good catchup.
