We walked eight miles around Valladolid, following the riverbank path (complete with a small man-made beach) and stopping for delicious food along the way. The highlight was a squid-ink risotto at Hasta la Peineta taberna. Later in the afternoon, the six of us were the only passengers on the hop-on, hop-off sightseeing bus, which we used purely as a way to stay cool and take a pause from walking.
